The secret to getting ahead is getting started

Long time, no see.

I couldn't wait until after Thanksgiving to put our christmas decor up.
It all happened yesterday as Elena was napping, she woke up and saw Santa hanging on the wall and got very excited about it. Cutie!
I'll share some pictures in another post when we got the christmas tree up.
We will go and cut down our tree at davis farm this year, hopefully we will be happy with it. :)

anyway, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I'm very excited to eat some turkey and other goodies.
I was lucky to find a great deal of an all natural organic turkey at The Fresh Market, I'm picking it up this afternoon and also have to do the shopping for the rest of the things I'm cooking. Hopefully it won't be crazy out there.

Here is a pic of my Family that we took on a trip up to Napa Valley with my in laws earlier this fall.
Beautiful Napa.

15 month girl

Elena is 15 months old today.
She is growing so fast and it's so much fun to be on this ride, she test my limits everyday and is very smart. She is the sweetest little girl, she loves sitting on my lap and gives me random kisses and hugs throughout the days, it's the best feeling in the world, I'll tell you that.
She is great at playing by herself as long as I'm near, but every now and then she wants me to play with her. Her favorite thing to do is run around on the playgrounds and go down the slides. She loves sitting on the countertop when I cook and she loves to cuddle with our cats.
She talks more now which is so much fun. Her favorite thing to say is still wow but also aooow (This is what I say when I hurt myself) Another favorite thing to say is 'Titta dä' or just 'däää'. (Look or there)
I can go on and on but I'll stop here. ;)

Happy 15 month Birthday, Sweetheart.

Roasted pumpkin seeds

Sunday night I roasted some pumpkin seeds and they turned out pretty good.
What I used is Olive oil, worcestershire sauce, cinnamon, powdered sugar, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. (I didn't use exact measurements)
Mix it all together in a medium size bowl and put the clean pumpkin seeds in and mix well.
Put on a greased baking sheet in a preheated oven (300F) for about an hour.
Enjoy!

I put the roasted pumpkin seeds in these cute little glass jars I got from dollar tree.
Dollar tree is such an awesome place, I often go there to see if I can score something good.. They often have cute garden decorations for spring or glass kitchen ware that I like to purchase.

Fun filled weekends

Weekends together with a 1 year old just never becomes boring.
I think it's safe to say that there is always something fun to do. If it's just spending time in our front yard kicking the soccer ball together or watching our daughter playing with pumpkins. She has a thing for pumpkins and hugs them and carries them around. It's quite fun to watch.

Aww, My heart melts watching these pictures of her!

Oh, my goodness.
I'm a terrible blogger, just terrible!

My husband is out fishing with friends and my daughter is asleep so what do I do?
Finished watching the latest episode of Nashville and then read my old blog.. Feelings I thought I had forgotten about came back from me reading all of it.
I LOVE that I blog. It's such an easy way of remembering all the little or big things that happens in my life. Like, my pregnancy with Elena, or Her first months in life. Wonderful memories and it makes me a little teary-eyed to think about it!

Therefor, I will start this thing back up again, if one day I won't be here to tell Elena about my life before she was born or the love that I have for her. Then, this will be a great way for her to know!
She is my world, my everything!

My first blog post.

Hi there and welcome to my blog.
I created this blog a while ago, but never posted anything due to lack of time.
I'm married and mommy to Elena who just recently turned 1. I'm a stay at home mom with a lot of ideas that I want to turn into reality.. I have a passion for interior design, flea markets, garage sales and thrift shopping.
One mans junk is another mans treasure!
I enjoy spending time outdoors or in the garage working on projects such as re-painting old furnitures and pieces.

Here I am with my beautiful daughter in Sweden.
Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention I'm 100% Swede but I now live in Northern California since about 4 years ago.

Have a great weekend. I will work on a few projects and hopefully another post will come up next week.
